Does the PAGG Stack by Pareto Work?
Wether you have read the 4HB in detail, or just saw Tim on Dr OZ, or heard about PAGG from a friend you are probably still looking for more information about it. If you are not looking for info on PAGG then you can leave now. Still here? This is what I am going to discuss …
First I will go into a bit more detail then Tim about how PAGG works for fat loss. Then I will show you some authentic reviews from other people who have actually lose weight with PAGG.
The Science Behind The PAGG Stack
PAGG is an acronym for Policosinol, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Green Tea and Garlic. Each of those ingredients plays a different role in fat loss. First Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) has been show to be a powerful antioxidant that is the most effective free radical scavengers, and the only one known to easily get into your brain. It also has the ability to regenerate other antioxidants such as vitamins C, E, and glutathione. Alpha lipoic acid also recycles coenzyme Q10 and NAD (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide). ALA has also been show to be a great modifier of gene expression to reduce inflammation, a very potent heavy metal chelator, and an enhancer of insulin sensitivity. ALA’s affect on insulin sensitive is the most direct benefit for fat loss.
Policosanol benefits include reducing LDL oxidation, decreases platelet aggregation (blood clots), decreases smooth muscle proliferation, and improves symptoms of cardiovascular disease.
Green Tea, specifically the extract of it called Epigallocatechin-3-gallate or EGCG has been shown to have some direct benefits to fat loss. It prevents storage of excess carbohydrates as fats. It also appears to promote the self destruction of stubborn mature fat cells, and it increases resting metabolic rate, burning more calories. Not only does it help with fat loss but studies have shown it helps prevent and reverse cancer as well!
Garlic, specifically the compound Allicin, also has shown to have benefits for fat loss. Scientists are still trying to understand the way that the human body metabolizes and absorbs allicin but studies have shown that it prevents weight gain, lowers insulin, blood pressure and triglycerides.
PAGG became very popular after Tim Ferriss published his book “The 4 Hour Body” in 2010. In it he tell the story of testing these ingredients to find the most effective dosage. He determined that 215 mg ALA, 200 mg Garlic, 325 mg of EGCG, and 23 mg of policosanol. AGG take 3 times a day before meals and the PAG (excluding green tea) taken before bed time. The book has gone on to be a New York Times best seller, and is the most highlighted e-book on amazon kindle.
Are there any real results?
Here are some before and after pictures of me. This included using PAGG making some small changes to my diet and doing minimal exercise at home.
I always head to amazon to read reviews. There are 25 reviews and only 6 negative ones. Here are excerpts from some of the reviews:
So I am not a big advocate of “weight loss pills” in general. I think the diet and sleep are much more important, but myself and other have had a lot of success with PAGG and there seems to be very few people who do not benefit from it.
